About
Moving Forward was developed by Scott Hampton in 2010 after realizing the need for institutional programing geared towards helping former foster youth with self-esteem, social skills, mutual respect, and other rehabilitative tools. Mr. Hampton has a combined 29 years of experience in and with the foster care and criminal justice systems. Mr. Hampton was in the foster care system for 13 years and spent 16 years incarcerated. Today, Scott has turned his life around and is devoted to disrupting the foster care to prison pipeline by helping youth in the foster system find encouragement and hope in a brighter future.

Goals
To reduce incarceration and recidivism rates among former and current foster care youth
To reduce homelessness among former and current foster youth
To reduce substance abuse among former and current foster care youth
To assist in making the transition from incarcerated and/or aged out person, to a productive, self-sufficient member of the community.
